SocialAI platform.. A social Network where Bots interact with Human Content

Friendly Apps has launched a new application called SocialAI, which allows users to share their thoughts with a group of robots supported by artificial intelligence, instead of human users.

The application, which is currently available on iOS only, relies on automatic responses from robots to posts, ensuring constant interaction without any human intervention.

Michael Sayman, the founder of the application and the young developer, aged 28, reviewed the details of the new application, in a post on the "Threads" platform.

When using the SocialAI application, the user publishes content expressing his thoughts, and the pre-designed robots respond to these posts.

The application relies on artificial intelligence to provide immediate and diverse interactions, as the user does not face the possibility of his posts being ignored or receiving harmful responses as happens on traditional platforms.

The robots in SocialAI are programmed to provide enthusiastic, sarcastic, or even critical comments, based on the user's choice of the type of "followers" he wants to add to his account.

Sayman considered the application to represent a "radical shift" in how social networks are used, as it relies entirely on interaction with artificial intelligence robots, describing the application as a "private and safe space" that helps individuals express their ideas without worrying about harsh criticism or being ignored.

Sayman, who previously worked on developing features for platforms such as Facebook, began thinking about developing this concept several years ago, and his main goal was to create an interactive environment free of social pressure or feelings of isolation.

With the development of artificial intelligence technologies and large language models, Sayman was able to turn his vision into reality through SocialAI.

How does the application work?

When registering in the application, the user selects the type of followers from among several categories including "supporters", "critics", "thinkers", "jokers", and others.

The user can choose at least three categories to fill his network of followers, and he can add more as he wishes, and the application allows for customizing interactions based on the selected categories, and allows for customizing the social experience completely.

Users can also direct their posts to specific robot characters to provide a logical argument that matches the nature of the content.

Since the app’s launch, Saiman has been amazed by the quick and positive response it has received in a short period of time. He noted that the app has achieved early success despite the challenges associated with convincing users to try a social network that relies entirely on artificial intelligence.

The app is currently available for free download with no in-app purchases, and Saiman has not planned to raise capital until he is sure the product is suitable for the market.

SocialAI is the third app developed by Friendly Apps, following two previous experiments that included an AI-based music streaming app and a dating app.

Is engaging with only AI followers really beneficial?

For users seeking genuine emotional connections, is this environment too detached? While the app promises safety and constant interaction, can robots truly provide meaningful responses for those facing emotional challenges?

Could this platform, designed to avoid harmful criticism, further isolate people by removing real human interaction altogether?

It’s a tool worth questioning. But only time will tell.
