1. Etro

Etro is a typescript framework for programmatically editing videos. It lets you composite layers and add filters (effects).

Etro comes shipped with text, video, audio and image layers, along with a bunch of GLSL effects. You can also define your own layers and effects with javascript and GLSL.

2. Editly

Editly is a tool and framework for declarative NLE (non-linear video editing) using Node.js and ffmpeg. Editly allows you to easily and programmatically create a video from a set of clips, images, audio and titles, with smooth transitions and music overlaid.

Editly has a simple CLI for quickly assembling a video from a set of clips or images, or you can use its more flexible JavaScript API.

Inspired by ffmpeg-concat, editly is much faster and doesn't require much storage because it uses streaming editing. Editly aims to be very extensible and feature rich with a pluggable interface for adding new dynamic content.

LosslessCut is a cross-platform FFmpeg GUI designed for rapid, lossless operations on video, audio, subtitle, and other media files. It allows for lossless trimming and cutting of files, ideal for rough-cutting large video files from various sources.

It enables quick extraction of desired video parts, discarding unnecessary data without losing quality through slow re-encoding. Additional features include adding music or subtitle tracks to videos without encoding. Its speed is due to its near-direct data copy approach, powered by FFmpeg.

mebm is a browser based video editor that supports animation of images and text overlays. The animation is done with key-frames (denoted in blue on the timeline) and linear interpolation.

The design values simplicity and rudimentary functionality over a full feature set.

11. Fast Cut

Fast Cut is a tool that allows users to visually cut and join videos then export them losslessly.

It is primarily used to join camcorder footages and remove commercial breaks from recordings. Fast Cut provides a GUI for FFmpeg and supports both Linux and Windows OSes, but not Mac OS.

It mainly supports the conversion from MPEG Transport Stream to MPEG-4 Part 14, but any FFmpeg supported format could be used.
