What is MEMANTO?

MEMANTO is a long-term memory system for AI. Normally, if you close a chat with an AI, it forgets everything about you. MEMANTO acts like a "smart brain" or "digital notebook" for AI agents. It allows them to remember your past conversations, personal preferences, and goals so they don't get confused in future chats.

The Problem it Solves

Most current AI memory tools are "dumb" and passive. They just dump a big, messy block of old text into the AI's mind before a chat starts. Because of this:

The AI can't search the memory properly to find what it needs.
It treats a fact from 6 months ago the exact same as something you said yesterday.
It gets confused if you change your mind, often keeping two conflicting facts without knowing which one is true.

How it Works

MEMANTO works as an active memory assistant with three simple jobs:

Remember: It safely stores new information the exact second you give it.
Recall: It instantly searches through the stored memories to find exactly what is relevant for the current conversation.
Answer: It can directly answer questions based on what it has learned and stored.

Why is it better than other tools?

It’s Organized: Instead of a messy pile of text, it sorts memories into 13 specific categories (like facts, goals, preferences, decisions, and relationships).
It Understands Time: It knows that recent information is usually more important than old information (temporal decay).
It Updates Itself: If you tell it something new that contradicts an old memory, it catches the conflict and updates the record instead of silently keeping two conflicting facts.
It’s Instant: There is no waiting time for the system to "process" or "index" the data. The memory is ready to use the millisecond it is saved (zero ingestion latency).
It Tracks Sources: It remembers where it learned something and how confident it is about that information.
