Magic Framework Moves to Closed-Source: The Future of Low-Code
Magic is an AI-based low-code and no-code software development automation framework. Originally designed to empower developers by automating repetitive tasks, Magic uses artificial intelligence to streamline backend development, particularly for database-driven applications.
The framework allows users to build scalable applications with minimal code, supporting both front-end and back-end automation.
However, it has transitioned away from being open-source, limiting access to its core functionalities.
Features
- Low-Code and No-Code Development – Automates common programming tasks to reduce manual coding.
- AI-Driven Automation – Uses artificial intelligence to suggest and automate backend processes.
- REST API Generation – Automatically generates REST APIs from database schemas.
- Backend Automation – Streamlines backend development by simplifying database interactions.
- SQL and Database Management – Integrates with various databases for seamless CRUD operations.
- Scalable Application Framework – Suitable for building highly scalable web and backend applications.
- Frontend and Backend Integration – Supports full-stack development with minimal effort.
- Security Features – Provides built-in user authentication and role-based access control.
- Multi-Platform Support – Compatible with multiple operating systems and environments.
- Microservices Architecture – Enables the creation of microservices for modern application design.
Not Open-source Anymore
IMPORTANT - Magic is no longer open source. You can read the arguments here. We will keep this repository as is, but it should be considered "legacy" and will no longer receive any updates, fixes, or changes.
All work is currently committed to a closed source fork of this repository, which inevitably over time will rapidly make this repository insecure and obsolete for obvious reasons.
The New cloud SaaS of Magic Cloud
Magic Cloud is a software development automation platform created and maintained by AINIRO.IO. It leverages AI, low-code, and no-code approaches, and is based on Hyperlambda, which allows dynamic workflow creation and orchestration in a drag-and-drop development environment through HyperIDE.
Magic Cloud also features a CRUD generator, enabling users to wrap database tables into CRUD endpoints with a single click, significantly reducing development time by up to 90%. Built on .NET 8 and Angular, Magic Cloud streamlines backend API delivery.
