Backuso: Backup your Data file with full SSH Support
Backuso is a free and open-source backup software that allows routine and automated backups of your computer to local or remote SSH systems.
It is configured with a simple text file and uses Python 3 and rsync as its core elements.
A local storage refers to any accessible location within your computer's directory structure. Typically, this would be a (large) hard drive conveniently mounted.
On the other hand, a remote storage refers to any resource accessed on your network through the secure SSH protocol. This can include a NAS (Network Attached Storage) within your local LAN or a server share on the internet.
Configuring Backuso is a breeze with a simple text file. You have the option to initiate backups manually or set them up to run automatically, for example, using crontab.
Built on Python 3 and powered by the reliable rsync software, Backuso is compatible with systems where rsync is available, such as Linux, FreeBSD, and Apple.
